I Will Survive by Gloria Gaynor

Mike Check: Ole Mike is saddened by the recent passing of the feller who played TV’s Batman, and the feller who also called me his “old Chum”, Adam West. I was almost going to play his popular hit “Miranda” but since I realized that I had already played it not too long ago, we here on KMCR will continue with our cosmic song mix provided by Rick Foley. So today’s song will be “I Will Survive”. Speaking of…

(*phone rings*)

Mike Check: Excuse me fellers. (*picks up phone*) Hello, KMCR? Mike Check here?

gay-popeyeGay Popeye: Aw gyuk gyuk gyuk! Well blow me……………….

Mike Check: No, not you again, Happy Hawkeye?!

Gay Popeye: …………DOWN! Ah gyuk gyuk gyuk! It’z Gay Popeye herez and I wantz to tell yer that I’mz so happy that yer show iz stillz on the air, Mike.

Mike Check: Well, I was happy too…until you called today there feller!

Gay Popeye: Whyz yer not happy Mike? Oh yez, yer sadz about Adam West. Wellz yer knowz I used to enjoy how “gay” it lookedz whenever he and Burt Ward wouldz slide down the “Bat Pole”. Oh, they lookedz so BIG…AND BURLY!

Mike Check: I’m not sure that I understand your particular reference there feller? Batman and Robin always seemed to be in a “serious” mood during the moments when they were in a hurry to fight crime?

Gay Popeye: Ah? Maybez yer misunderstoodz my meaning? Butz I do understand what willz make yer sad day “gay” again Mike: the song “I Willz Survive” by Gloria Gaynor. C’mon, singz it with me. “At Firstz I waz afraid, I waz petrified…”C’mon Mike, sing it with me…“”Keptz thinking I couldz”…

Mike Check (*reluctantly sings*): “…never live without you by my side…”

Gay Popeye: Oh yes, sing it, sing it slow. Ah gyuk gyuk gyuk!

Mike Check: Get outta here Happy Hawkeye! (*hangs up phone*)

Miranda by Adam West

*phone rings*

Mike Check: KMCR–The Macker.

???: Well hello there old chum!

Mike Check: Who are you there feller?!?

Adam West: Why its Adam–WWEESSTT!!! My Bat-fans have been telling me that you have been a little mixed-up as of late there about my musical exploits there old chum?

Mike Check: I wasn’t mixed up but more like supplied the wrong information there feller.

Adam West: Alas there old chum! I actually did release a song during my times defending the streets of Gotham against the like of those VILE VILLAINS The Penguin & The Joker!

Mike Check: Now if I have that song I’ll play that right now. What is that song again?

Adam West: Its called “Miranda” and personally speaking there old chum it happens to be one of my personal favorites.

Mike Check: “Miranda”…? “Miranda”… Aw here it is there feller!

Adam West: Great work there old chum!

Mike Check: Feller.

Adam West: Old chum.

Mike Check: Feller.

Adam West: Old chum.

Mike Check: Feller.

Adam West: Old chum.

Mike Check: And by request by Burt Ward–

Adam West: That’s Robin The Boy Wonder, I’m Adam–WWEESSTT!!!

Mike Check: Here’s “Miranda” on…The Macker!

Adam West: Quick to the Batmobile!

Adam West by Wally Wingert

Mike Check: Well Fellers after yesterday’s…fascinating discovery of the town of Batman I finally got this corrected. Now I’m going to play the right song this time & I’m quite amazed how Adam West sings; especially about his underwear and The Penguin.

Mike Check’s Daughter: DAD! Adam West doesn’t sing this song! Its a song ABOUT Adam West!

Mike Check: Does that damn doohickey phone of yours telling me that again because every time I find that-whatever it is- I always get that thing full of candy. I can’t get it, I can’t eat it, and every time I match 3 of the same candies it goes all kerblooie on me!

Mike Check’s Daughter (sighs): Okay that’s Candy Crush Saga, that’s a game I got on my phone when things get…slow at work & when there’s no guys wanting to pay for a lap–er I mean a wanting to know how to do the cha-cha things get rather boring.

Mike Check: Is it like that time you told me that feller wrote a song about me?

Mike Check’s Daughter: I told you that Tom Green had a song called “Mike Check” not that Tom Green wrote a song about you Dad!

Mike Check: Well that feller needs to get some singing lessons. That Ron Green feller needs to take singing lessons from Jacko. Oh he has the most beautiful voice I have ever heard. Enough dilly dallying around here & lets get to the song “Adam West” by–?

Mike Check’s Daughter (sighs):…Wally Wingert, Dad.

Mike Check: Wally Wingert here on…The MACKER~! (Who’s Wally Wingert by the way)

Mike Check’s Daughter: Dad. Sometimes you give me migraines.

Kaleden Top Atarlar by TPAO Batman

Mike Check: Fellers its a real discovery to find a song that Adam West worked on. The band that Batman created is truly epic among his time.

Mike Check’s Daughter: Adam West had a band?!?

Mick Check: Yes darlin’, the band was called “TPAO Batman”. Truly they were a classic beyond its time.

Mike Check’s Daughter (looks confused): Uh…let me check that. *takes out her smartphone and surfs the Internet* Dad! Adam West didn’t have a band! “TPAO” is actually the abbreviation of some oil company and “Batman” is actually a small town in Turkey!

Mike Check: There’s a town called “Batman?”

Mike Check’s Daughter: Yeah, who knew?

Mike Check: Well darlin’ I still got the album so here’s…Kal-Kale-Kalday Top-Top that’s the word-Ata-ada-Oh that song by the town of Batman here on…The Macker!
