Let’s Call The Whole Thing Off by Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers

Mike’s Daughter: Well while my dad is recovering from his bad back, today I have provided a special treat kids, not only are we going to play another song of the day, but we have a special guest to sing it along with us.

(*loud knock at the door*)

Mike Check (*lying on the sofa holding his back*): Could you get that darlin’, perhaps it’s today’s special guest? Ouch!

Mike’s Daughter (*opens door*): Oh, its our old friend: The Great Khali!

*Theme: “Land Of Five Rivers” by Kulwinder Singh Johal and Panjabi MC*

Khali: Aaaaghhhhh!

Mike’s Daughter: Oh, don’t be scared kids. Khali is not growling, he is just speaking in an foreign…I mean, “International” accent. My friend The Great Khali is from a country in Asia known as India where they speak a different language than English, called Hindi.

Khali: Eeeeepp Errrggg Aaaaghhhhh!

Mike’s Daughter: That’s right Khali, the word for today is “different”, but don’t you have a song that you want to sing for us today?

Khali: Eeeeepp Errrggg Aaaaghhhhh!

Mike’s Daughter: That sounds great. So let’s sing “Let’s Call The Whole Thing Off”:

Mike’s Daughter (singing): I say potato and you say—

Khali: Aaaaghhhhh!

Mike’s Daughter (singing): I say tomato and you say—

Khali: Aaaaghhhhh!

Mike’s Daughter (singing): Potato—

Khali: Aaaaghhhhh!

Mike’s Daughter (singing): Tomato,

Khali: Aaaaghhhhh!

Mike’s Daughter (singing): Let’s call the whole thing off.

Mike Check: Why thank ya there darlin’ and Great Collie, but do you youngings know who else liked to sing that there particular song? Why you probably never heard of them but here’s; “Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers” singing “Let’s Call The Whole Thing Off”, here on The NEW Mike Check Show!

…Oh I forgot. Darlin’ can you play it for me, I can’t reach the darn thing from here. Ouch.
